Terms & Conditions

The short version: we’re a small Irish business selling tech we’ve actually spec-checked, stocked in the EU where possible, with real support behind it. The long version is below.

Who you’re buying from

Brownsolve LTD, trading as Tech-Know by TWYN, Ireland. Contact: support@twyn.shop. We’re the seller of record and the economic operator responsible for these products in the EU — which means product-safety obligations (GPSR, Regulation (EU) 2023/988) sit with us, not with a marketplace halfway around the world. Every listing shows the manufacturer and product identification before you buy.

Prices and stock

Prices are in EUR and include VAT. Stock and prices update from our supplier feeds — if something sells out between your click and checkout, we’ll contact you and refund rather than leave you hanging. Prices can change, but the price shown at checkout is the price you pay.

Customs and delivery

EU-stocked items ship from our EU warehouse with customs already cleared — nothing to pay on delivery. Where an item ships from outside the EU, the listing says so, and VAT is collected at checkout so there’s no ransom note from a courier. ‘EU-stocked’ means shipped from an EU warehouse; it does not mean the goods were made in the EU.

Orders

Your order is accepted when we confirm dispatch, not when you click buy. If we can’t fulfil an order (pricing error, stock-out), we cancel and refund in full.

Returns

See the Refund & Returns page — it’s the honest version: 14 days to change your mind, no restocking fees, Irish returns address, faults handled under the Consumer Rights Act 2022.

Warranty and product safety

All goods carry the statutory consumer guarantees. Electronics are CE-marked and we keep the technical documentation manufacturers are required to provide. If a product you bought here appears on an EU safety recall list, we contact you directly.

Liability

We’re liable for what the law says we’re liable for — nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights, and anything in here that tries to is void.

Governing law

Irish law applies. Disputes: you can use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform or the Irish courts.

Services — extra terms

These apply alongside the terms above when you buy a build, install, audit, setup or repair. They do not apply to physical or digital goods.

Quotes and deposits

Fixed-price work is quoted in writing before anything starts. A 50% deposit books the slot; the balance is due at handover. The price in the quote is the price — scope added afterwards is quoted separately and never silently billed.

Scope, changes and revisions

The quote names what is included and what is excluded. Two consolidated revision rounds are included. Further rounds are €49 each, quoted first. A scope change after the brief is agreed restarts the turnaround clock, and we say so in writing at the time.

What we need from you

Content, access and decisions, in reasonable time. Where a job stalls for more than 14 days waiting on either, we can invoice the work completed and close it.

Ownership

On final payment, you own the delivered source, configuration and content. We retain no licence over your business’s own material. Third-party components keep their own licences, which are listed in the handover.

Credentials

Where you hand over logins or API keys, use dedicated keys where the platform allows it. Keys are rotated or deleted within 30 days of handover unless you ask us to keep hosting. Passwords shared in plain email are your risk, not ours.

Warranty

Anything we build is fixed free for 14 days after handover if it misbehaves for a reason within our scope. After that, repairs are quoted. Where a page promises “if a fix doesn’t fix, you don’t pay”, that promise governs.

Third-party platforms

Where a build depends on a platform we do not control — Meta verification, Telegram, a registrar, a plugin vendor — their queues and rule changes are outside our control. We quote those as ranges and tell you if a queue is the reason for a delay.

Hosting subscriptions

Optional, monthly, cancellable any time. On cancellation we hand over everything needed to run elsewhere. A bespoke build on your own infrastructure is a B2B professional service; the hosted subscription is an electronically supplied service. They are invoiced separately.

Cancellation

Before work starts: full refund of the deposit. After it starts: you pay for work completed and keep what was delivered to that point.
